Maureen Parnaby Talks Fostering on LCR FM

This Wednesday, 29th January, was a special day at Skylark Fostering, not only for our team but also for the wider community in Lincolnshire. Maureen Parnaby, the respected Chair of our independent panel, made a timely stop at our office en route to a significant engagement at Lincoln’s LCR FM local radio station.

A Voice for Fostering on Local Radio

Maureen was set to discuss an issue close to her heart and central to our mission at Skylark Fostering: the critical need for more foster carers. Her interview aimed to shed light on the fostering assessment process, which ensures potential carers are well-prepared to provide a supportive and nurturing environment for children.

The Current Need for Foster Carers

During her radio segment, Maureen highlighted how fostering can change lives and stressed the ongoing need for more individuals and families to step into roles as foster carers. With a direct approach, she explained how each new foster home opens up a realm of possibilities and stability for children in need.

Why the Discussion Matters

The discussion on LCR FM was not just about informing; it was a call to action. It sought to engage the community, create awareness, and encourage more people to consider fostering as a viable way to make a profound difference.
